Shri Pradeep Pant:  Sri Pradeep Pant was born on 20.10.1968 at Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar. He did his Post Graduation in Law (LL.M.) from Lucknow University securing first position. He was selected in the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service in the 1990 Batch and joined in 1996 at Lucknow as Civil Judge (Jr. Div.). After promotion to Higher Judicial Service in 2006 he served as Judge, Family Court, Nainital, Hardwar, Special Judge Anti-Corruption CBI, Special Judge (NDPS) and Special Judge (NIA) at Dehradun and also worked as Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Uttarakhand. He also served as Member Secretary, Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority. Appointed as Director of Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy and assumed his charge on 16th April, 2015. 

 

Shri Vivek Bharti Sharma

Shri Vivek Bharti Sharma is from first batch of Higher Judicial Service, State of Uttarakhand. He did his schooling from Ramjas School Delhi, B.Sc. from K.M. College, University of Delhi, LL.B. from Faculty of Law, Delhi University and course in Forensic Science from Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi.

On joining Higher Judicial Service, he served as Additional District & Sessions Judge at Haridwar, Roorkee, Haldwani and Nainital. In May, 2011 he was promoted and appointed District Judge, Pithoragarh thereafter of Pauri Garhwal in year 2013. He served as Legal Advisor to His Excellency, the Governor Uttarakhand on deputation and lateron held post of Chairman, Uttarakhand Commercial Tax Tribunal. On 02.05.2017, he joined as Director of Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy, Bhowali, Nainital.


 

Shri Prashant Joshi

Sri Prashant Joshi born on 20.06.1967 at District Pithoragarh. Did schooling and higher education from Pithoragarh. Passed LL.B. from Delhi University. Enrolled with Bar Council of U.P. Allahabad in 1994 and started practice at Civil Court Pithoragarh. He belongs to the U.P. Judicial Service Batch-1997 and joined the U.P. Judicial Services on 1st October, 1999. His first posting was at Srinagar (Pauri Garhwal) as Civil Judge (Jr. Div.). He worked as Judicial Officer in different cadre in District; Chamoli and Udham Singh Nagar. He was promoted to Higher Judicial Services in the year 2006 and worked as Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Roorkee (Haridwar), Haldwani(Nainital), Dehradun and also Judge ,Family court,Nainital. From the year 2008 to 2012, he worked as Registrar, Inspection/Protocol at Hon’ble High Court of Uttarakhand, Nainital and appointed as Member Secretary, Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital. Shri Prashant Joshi on 16.08.2018 assumed charge as Director, Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy.

 

 

 

Dr. Gyanendra Kumar Sharma:  

Dr. Gyanendra Kumar Sharma : Was born on 1st July, 1962 in Village Govindpuri, District-Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He did his Law Graduation from Meerut. Passed LL.M. in the year, 2010. Joined Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services in year 1986. On bifurcation of State of Uttar Pradesh opted for the newly created Uttarakhand State in 2000. Had served in different positions like Law Draftsman, State Law Commission, Uttar Pradesh, Registrar, Public Service Tribunal, Member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority, Uttarakhand, Additional Director, Uttarakhand Judicial & Legal Academy, Presiding Officer, Central Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court, Chandigarh, Chairman, State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Uttarakhand, Secretary, Lokayukta, Uttarakhand & Legal Advisor to His Excellency, Governor, Uttarakhand. He also worked as Director, Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy and District Judge- Almora. Apart from the above assignments has also worked as Special Judge (Anti-Corruption); Special Judge (Gangster Act); Special Judge (SC/ST Act) and Principal Judge, Family Court. 

Shri Gyanendra Kumar Sharma did his research in Law (Ph.D.) from Punjab University, Chandigarh on the topic "Evolving the Principles for Ensuring Social, Political and Economic Justice to Women; a Study". He is currently Pursuing Post Doctoral research from Rajeev Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, Punjab, India, on "Protection of Rights and Rehabilitation of Transsexual Persons in India and the World Community". He has as written five books namely “Reconciliation and other Proceedings before Family Courts in India”, “Quest for Justice at its Threshold”, “ Jeevan Sar (Rules for Human Life)” and Evolving the Principles for Ensuring Social, Economic and Political Justice to Women: A  Study. One more book  “Feminist Jurisprudence in Patriarchal Society” is in pipeline. He has contributed number of articles on different Socio-Legal issues.   

He again took over charge as Director Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy on June 30, 2019. 

 

                                                                                               

Shri Nitin Sharma: 

Shri Nitin Sharma, born on 04.09.1979 at District Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He did his schooling from M.G.M. school, S.A.M. Inter College, Saharanpur, B.Sc. and LL.B. from J.V. Jain College, Saharanpur. Passed LL.B. in the year, 2002. 

Joined Uttarakhand Judicial Service as topper of first batch 2002 in September, 2003. Had served on different posts like Judicial Magistrate-1st Dehradun, Registrar, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Dehradun (Additional Charge), Chief Judicial Magistrate Rudraprayag, Civil Judge (Senior Division) Rudraprayag (Additional Charge), Chief Judicial Magistrate Almora, Asstt. Gangster & Anti Social Activities Prevention Act), 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge Haldwani, Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court Haldwani (Additional Charge) and Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar. 

Assumed charge on 23.12.2020 as Director, Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy.
